How Our CSA Program Works
Upon completion of the CSA Sign Up Form and payment, a member will receive a Down River Farm canvas bag full of vegetables at the first pickup. In subsequent weeks, your shares will be self bagged. You will be expected to BYOB (bring your own bag) while the vegetables are displayed on the table. You pick up one of each item based on what the signs read and then have the opportunity to exchange one item out at the end after picking up the whole share’s contents.
Miss a share? Contact your pickup point-of-contact to arrange for an alternative pickup time. Communication must happen THE SAME DAY as your pickup or days prior. Shares left or forgotten after the pickup day (without any communication) will be forfeited. Planning to miss a share? Have a friend or family member pick up your share. Or contact us a week or more in advance to plan a double share pick up the week before you leave or after you return.
Shares are made up of vegetables chosen by the farmer based on peak freshness and seasonality. You do not have a choice in what you receive but will have the opportunity to swap one item out in our “exchange section” at the end of each pickup

Peoria or Groveland CSA Pickup Options
Full CSA Share: $584 for 25 weeks of delicious vegetables that can feed from 3-4 people a week depending on how much you cook.
Peoria or Groveland, your vegetables will be arranged along a table for you to pick up one at a time and add to a bag you provide following the signage. For peak freshness, please arrive as early as you can. You are able to pick up your share anytime between 4-7 PM on Wednesdays. Folks will then be asked to check their names off of a sign in form.
Week-by-Week Shares
Purchase these shares if you are unable to make it to the Peoria Riverfront Market or out to the Farm and instead would like vegetables to come to you each week! You can opt to buy them week-by-week; they typically go up the Sunday before the Wednesday delivery date (shares will begin in April)
Shares are delivered every Wednesday morning/afternoon. These shares are LARGER than the other CSA shares we offer. You will receive 8-9 items. We deliver to East Peoria, Pekin, Peoria, Peoria Heights, Washington, Dunlap, Edwards, Bartonville, Groveland, Morton, Germantown Hills, and Metamora.
Week-by-Week: $35 each and are available for purchase the Sunday before the Wednesday of delivery. $40 if you would like them delivered to your home.
A sample Weekly Share would look something like this (pictured): 2 heads garlic, 1.5 pounds purple daikon radishes, 1 clamshell pea shoots, 1 bunch red beets, 1.5 pounds kohlrabi, 1 bag salad mix, 1 bunch scallions, 1 bunch kale, 1 bunch carrots.
